In 2018, Rutland Park Society will be celebrating the 53rd May Day celebration which serves as a momentous occasion.

The 2018 Rutland May Days event will include a Parade on Saturday May 19, 2018 with entertainment, rides, games, food and more in the park and hall all weekend long Friday through Sunday.

There will be stalls set up by local vendors and other outlets for people to enjoy food and drinks in the beautiful Park setting. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the day!

Please note there is an additional admission charge of $3 which will be collected at the gate. 100% of this charge goes to the Rutland Park Society.

Rutland May Days History and Location

 Rutland is in British Columbia, Canada situated in the Okanagan region. Rutland is a neighborhood in Kelowna City. Kelowna is located along Okanagan Lake and the Okanagan river valley.

In 1939, the local residents of Rutland came up and jointly founded the Rutland Park Society, by raising funds and buying the land they built the community. Eventually, Centennial Hall was included in the recreation and it is situated in the heart of Rutland.

2017’s May Day celebration was extremely successful with performances from; The Peace Sneakers, Vic Fidler and his keys, Glen Sobchyshyn, M&D fusion, Conroy Ross, Wyatt Parker and many open mic performances entertained people throughout the whole weekend.

It’s not just bands and amusement rides! Other events at the festival included; wrestling, Maypole Dance, Knights of Columbus Bingo. On the food and beverage front there were pancake breakfast and a beer garden.
