If you’re looking for things to do in Quesnel, BC for the Summer, the event that everyone is in anticipation of is Billy Barker Days!
Now in the 45th year, the festival of the Summer is on for 4 days at Lebourdais Park, starting on July 18th until July 21st.
Starting from humble beginnings with a $3,000 budget from the city and a mission to exhibit the fine city of Quesnel and it’s rich gold rush heritage to its many visitors…the Billy Barker Days festival was born.
Fast forward to today the multi-day festival brings together thousands of attendees, including residents and visitors to enjoy the huge range of events and exhibitions.
The event is organized by The Billy Barker Days Society members (who are all volunteers) with support from the city of Quesnel, corporate sponsorships and volunteers.
What’s on at Billy Barker Days 2019
With over 25 attractions, performers and events, Billy Barker Days 2019 is living up to its great name and anticipation.
This family-friendly festival has everything to entertain the entire family. From Shooting Star Amusements carnival rides and games, the laser show, official parade and musical performers…this event will make you feel like visiting every day.
All about Shooting Star Amusements Carnival
Back by popular demand, the Shooting Stars midway carnival is back with a vast amount of classic and thrilling rides, fun games and tasty treats.
When does the carnival open?
With so many events happening at Billy Barker Days it can get confusing trying to keep up with when your favourite attraction or event starts and finishes.
Shooting Star Amusements schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 11AM – 10PM
Sunday: 12PM – 4PM

How much does it cost to ride?
We’re excited to be offering unlimited ride wristbands every day of the Billy Barker Days festival.
Wristband prices range from $30-$40 depending on the day of the event.
