So saddle up! Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows in BC’s Lower Mainland are putting on their annual two-day agricultural shindig on July 29th and 30th 2017. Just like living in the two cities, the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Country Fest is the perfect combination of the best of rural and urban living.
Head for the Albion Fairgrounds in Maple Ridge. Best of all… admission is FREE and you can park for just a TOONIE!
Country Fest – Loved for Over 100 Years!
For 114 years, people from all over the Lower Mainland have been flocking to the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Country Fest to be amazed, educated and entertained by the best of the best in farming – from animal exhibitions of all sorts to hilarious races, competitions, and sheep shearing demos.
Every July, the fair brims over with exciting spectacles, family-friendly entertainment, music performances, and all best local foods from the farms that are the lifeblood of these two cities! Last year, over 18,000 people attended!

The organizers have gone all out for Canada 150!
- More fun for the kids than you can shake a stick at, with awesome performers.
- Watch expert horse farriers, sheep shearing, sheep dogs herding ducks, and horse and poultry shows. This fest has the largest 4H livestock shows in BC!
- Get up close and personal with baby farm animals from chicks to calves at the Fun ‘Til You’re Done Farm.
- Learn how to grow your own food from experts in backyard farming.
- Hoot and holler at rabbit agility demos and the infamous and hilarious Richard’s Racing Pigs and Ducks!
- There will be milking demonstrations, and farmers showing their sheep, goats, cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals.

Plus the festival has a fantastic entertainment lined up, including Canadian artist tribute bands, a multicultural/community stage, and bilingual roving kids’ entertainers.
Shooting Star Midway Joins the Excitement Fest
Where there is much fun to be had, you can be sure Shooting Star Amusements will be front and center! We’re bringing our amazing midway to the Country Fest, eager to give all you cowgirls and cowboys all the fun you can handle!
Our midway rides and games open on Saturday July 29th at 11:00 a.m. at 23448 105 Avenue in Maple Ridge. Make sure you get our wristbands so you can ride all day for just one great price! They’ll save you money and the hassle of paying for each ride. Saturday wristbands are $35 and on Sunday only $25.
