Get ready for the Quesnel event of the year…it’s the Billy Barker Days Carnival!
This year, the 4-day festivities run from July 19 to 22, 2018.
As a platinum sponsor of the Billy Barker Days Carnival, Quesnel is near and dear to our heart. After the devastating Plateau wildfire that ravaged Quesnel in 2017, the carnival aims to lift up the local community with fun and celebration by making Billy Barker Days 2018 the best year yet!
What Is Billy Barker Days Festival?
Quesnel’s Billy Barker Days is a family celebration commending the gold rush legacy. The Festival highlights four long days of amusement for those looking for activity, relaxation, fun, and fervor.
Wake up to costumes, seniors and kids activities, live entertainment, dances, along with the Shooting Star Amusements midway, parade, rodeo and many activities supported by associations. The days are loaded with activities topped with a laser show in the park on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.

Billy Barker Days 2018 – Wristband Prices:
Thursday – wristbands will be $33.
Friday and Saturday – wristbands will be $38.
Sunday, it’s Kids’ day! – the wristbands will only be $28.
The amusements always thrill kids, from the Gone Fishing game, the Prize Factory and Balloon Pop, to mention a few. The midway offers rides, from the Sizzler to the Berry-Go-Round, from the Tilt-A-Whirl to the great Ferris Wheel.

2018 Billy Barker Days Parade
On Saturday morning, July 21st watch the fantastic parade – one of the festival highlights!
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the parade and its floats, motorcade, bands, vintage cars and trucks.
Laser Shows
Unwind and appreciate an amazing show of laser works set off by Nu-salt Laser Light Shows. There will be a show of animation on a large screen and upgraded with laser beams with music.
2018 Kid’s Day in the Park
Bring your kids and have tons of fun with games, activities, recreations, and stage shows in the 2018 Kids’ Day in the Park on Friday, July 20, 2018, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM at LeBourdais Park. Activities include face painting, balloon making, bubbles, crafts, and Pulpasaurus. This year’s event also includes Billy‘s Treasure Hunt.
2018 Selfies with Billy
Take a Selfie with the Mascot Billy during the festival and win a unique CARICATURE of your selfie from Lee-Anne Chisholm Artworks! Then, post your selfie to the Facebook page Billy Barker Days Society with the hash tags #billybarkerdays #selfieswithbilly.
There will be more points if you are dressed-up in celebration attire! They will pick winners on Sunday, July 22nd.
