The Penticton Peach Festival is literally packed with entertainment and activities.

Local bands will strut their stuff on the main stage every day, with Friday night culminating in a performance by international headliner and Juno award winner George Canyon!

Full entertainment schedule is here. You can see there is everything from square dancing to belly dancing, country music to a ZZ Top tribute band, lumberjack shows to Peach Fest Royalty, and rope spinners to the RCAF Snowbirds.

There are even peach bin races to kick off the whole festival on Wednesday August 5th at noon. Make sure you’re lined up along Main Street (100 block, near Lakeshore Drive) in plenty of time to cheer on your community.

Pen Town Throwdown

For the young’uns (or maybe just the young at heart) there’s the Pen Town Throwdown – a huge skateboard and BMX competition. Some of the best professional skateboard and BMX talent will be there on Sunday August 9th for a competition.

For those who haven’t turned pro yet, there’s an amateur competition on Saturday 8th with categories and prizes for Skateboarding kids under 16, Skateboarders over 16, and the BMX category. Register at the event at 12:30 and the competition starts at 2pm.

Square Dance Festival

This is the 62nd year that square dancing has been a major feature at the Penticton Peach Festival. There will be dancers from Alberta, BC, and even some of the Pacific Northwest US States. This festival gives dancers the opportunity to enjoy many different levels and types of square and round dancing – including a dance in the lake! All dancing takes place at Penticton’s Senior Centre on South Main Street.

So whether you’re young or old, big or small, come on out and support the community at this year’s Penticton Peach Festival. It’s gonna be a blast!
